På Galaxy A5(2017) har vi testat helt utan kommunikation och utan Crystal Alarm. Vi har även testat med Crystal Alarm installerat och med all övrig kommunikation aktiverad. I testet med Crystal Alarm installerad har även funktionen för säker hemkost varit aktiverad. Dvs har Crystal Alarm löpande skickat position till molntjänsten. Det verkar skilja mellan ca 74 och 68 timmar i dessa tester.
